What Is Oracle Code Innovate Program

Hello everyone,

Today, we're going to talk about a very interesting program for developers, we're going to talk about Oracle Code Innovate Program.

The oracle code innovate is a five days online event where 4 or more developers who are going to be paired with Oracle experts engineers during the event to build a prototype for the organization, the organization should have a business case defined in advance, the main goal of the program is to help organization to turn the idea/business case into reality using cloud services both platform (PaaS) and infrastructure (IaaS).

Unfortunately, the program is available customer in North America only, as a person who is a big fan of Oracle technologies I hope to see the program available to customer worldwide since it's a virtual program, but in the current moment it's offered to customer in North America with no announcement to make it public worldwide. 

Oracle need a 3 weeks notice to plan and prepare for the event, Oracle expert engineers will setup the trial or temporary tenancy while having the option to let participants use their own existing tenancy.

Whether the organization have developers who are professional with hand-on experience in the cloud or a novice developers, the program help the organization and developers accelerate the development, learn the best practices of using the cloud solution to solve the idea/business case.

Now, let us talk about the 5 days in the week of the program when developers of the organization collaborate with Oracle expert engineers, we can categorize it in three phase:

  • Day 1 (IDEATION):
    The first day is just a day to brainstorm the way to solve the technical challenges related to the business case.
  • Day 2-4 (ITERATION):
    The iteration phase focus on building the prototype by the developers with the help of Oracle expert engineers.
  • Day 5 (INNOVATION):
    During the last day, the developers will present the prototype to the executives and peers.

To conclude our blog post today, the Oracle Code Innovate Program can be the beginning of a cloud journey using Oracle Cloud to solve a complex idea or business case within the organization by participating in the program letting the developers get familiarize with the tools and services needed to solve the challenge, worth to mention that the program is free offered as investments to its customers without charging any monetary fees.
