Oracle Guided Learning known as OGL for short is a digital adoption platform that delivers in-application guidance which is embedded in Oracle Cloud Applications and configured other Oracle Applications for PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Oracle E-Business Suite, and Oracle industry cloud solutions, more than that it can be used for non-Oracle Applications.

Oracle Guided Learning is helping administrators to educate users, communicate change, personalize guidance, reinforce behavior, operational support, gather feedback and measure adoption.

Well, to answer that question, we have to break it down into some cases where using Oracle Guided Learning can be useful for your organization to help employee taking advantage of it to complete their job/tasks perfectly without wasting time, some of the cases are:

  1. Educate users
    It's all the time hard for users to know how to use an application or a product without special training, but during the onboarding process for a new hire, an employee or simply let's say a user is a hard process and it takes time, more than that company have to train the user to learn how to use the application, so it's a repeated tasks that should be done for each user, OGL help to educate the user using in-app guide using tooltips.

    We all use validation conditions and rules in applications, it's important to prevent user submitting form without providing all the required information, thus OGL uses element blockers to prevent the user moving to other field, clicking other elements until the condition have been met, it's important to use tooltips to inform the user what is the blocker (the action to take in order to move further).

  5. Operational support
    This is a case when we need help from the operational support opening ticket, but don't have update about the portal or link where you can open a ticket or having access FAQ (frequent asked questions), OGL guide the user to the right portal and links.

  6. Gather feedback
    In many times company need to get the feedback from users, a solution for this is sending emails with link and create a developed page to gather the feedback or using survey platform, but OGL helps to solve the issue by having in-app survey to gather the feedback, so no need to worry about asking user for feedback via email or creating page to gather the feedback since everything can be done using OGL in an easy way in the organization side, for the user the announcement is done in the application without the need to get the announcement via email or from another user and the survey is done immediately in a fast interactive way to submit their feedback easily.

  7. Measure adoption
    This is a good feature that allow organization tracking the user adoption using built-in analytics, hotspots and dashboards ensuring training efforts result in smoother digital transformations.
